Agenda

  • We’ll provide an overview of learning programs, product and industry education, enablement, and certification programs with emphasis on strategic goal alignment. We’ll also discuss the use of measurement frameworks in large-scale customer education and product training.

    Objectives:

    • Define a strategic education program

    • Align programs to business goals

    • Analyze the importance of a measurement framework

    • Describe the resources required to build and grow an effective education program

  • We’ll discuss the differences between audience segmentation, job roles, and learner personas, and outline the importance of each in delivering education at scale.

    Objectives:

    • Clarify the use of audience segments and personas

    • Implement methods to gather audience data

    • Construct learner personas that tie by to business objectives

    • Connect personas to the customer journey

  • We’ll dive into curriculum design and outline approaches to developing a modular curriculum that scales across audiences and use cases.

    Objectives:

    • Explain the importance of “source of truth” and unified taxonomy

    • Describe the components of a curriculum

    • Organize curriculum by outcomes and audience

    • Employ methods for gaining alignment across teams and departments

  • We’ll narrow in on the definition of instructional design, discuss common models and theories, and examine the influence of effective instructional design on customer education programs. We’ll also consider the impact of GenAI on the instructional design process.

    Objectives:

    • Recognize common ID models and theories used in adult learning

    • Map learning objectives to measurable outcomes

    • Assess active and passive learning methods

    • Appraise the instructional quality of learning experiences

  • We’ll investigate the pros and cons of synchronous and asynchronous learning and discuss the variety of modalities used in scaled education programs. We’ll then align delivery strategy to the principles of adult learning theory with the goal of achieving business results.

    • Compare asynchronous and synchronous delivery

    • Assess the use of push and pull delivery

    • Create learner journeys by leveraging persona data

    • Design an appropriate delivery strategy for a large-scale education program

  • In our final week, we’ll tie everything we’ve learned together to design a measurable education program. We’ll discuss leading and lagging metrics, the connection between learning analytics and business data, and assessment methods to capture content efficacy.

    • Interpret the value of learning analytics

    • Categorize metrics as leading and lagging indicators

    • Examine relevant attribution models

    • Design a measurement strategy that connects learning to outcomes
