Use of AI Policy
At Echtus, we use artificial intelligence responsibly to support the quality, efficiency, and clarity of our work. AI may be used as an assistive tool for tasks such as research support, summarization, drafting, organization, analysis, editing, and internal workflow improvement.
AI does not replace our expertise, judgment, or accountability. All client-facing strategy, recommendations, deliverables, and final work products are reviewed, refined, and approved by a human before they are shared.
Our commitment to data privacy
We take data privacy seriously. Echtus does not use client confidential information, proprietary materials, internal documents, learner data, employee data, or other non-public client information to train, fine-tune, improve, or develop AI models.
When AI tools are used in client work, we use them responsibly and with appropriate safeguards. This may include anonymizing or de-identifying information, limiting the amount of information shared, using tools with appropriate privacy and security settings, and avoiding the use of sensitive or confidential data in public AI platforms.
Responsible use of AI
Our use of AI is guided by the following principles:
Human accountability: AI may support our process, but Echtus remains responsible for the work we deliver.
Confidentiality: Client information is handled with care and in accordance with our contractual obligations.
No client data training: We do not permit client data to be used to train or improve AI models without explicit written permission.
Accuracy and quality control: AI-assisted outputs are reviewed for accuracy, relevance, and fit before they are used.
Transparency: Clients may ask how AI is being used in their engagement, and we will provide a clear explanation.
Compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
Echtus is committed to using AI in a responsible, ethical, and legally compliant way. We will take reasonable steps to ensure our use of AI aligns with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and client confidentiality requirements.
Because AI technology and the legal landscape around it continue to evolve, we will review and update this policy as needed. We will also take reasonable steps to ensure that any AI tools used in our work maintain an appropriate level of privacy, security, and cybersecurity protection for the nature of the work being performed.
Training and responsible resourcing
Echtus will make appropriate investments in AI tools, guidance, and training to support responsible and effective AI use. This includes considering ethical implications, data privacy, information security, accuracy, bias, intellectual property, and the appropriate role of human judgment in AI-assisted work.
AI may support our process, but it does not replace the expertise, creativity, or strategic thinking that clients engage us to provide. We will balance the use of AI tools with the need to maintain and develop our own skills, judgment, and craft.
Echtus will use professional judgment in determining when AI tools are appropriate, when they should be limited, and when work should rely entirely on human expertise and experience.
Continuous monitoring and improvement
AI is a rapidly evolving field, and Echtus is committed to continuously improving how we use it. To support responsible AI use, we will:
Monitor developments: Stay informed about changes in AI tools, ethics, privacy practices, security standards, and relevant legal or regulatory guidance, and update our practices as appropriate.
Encourage feedback: Invite feedback from clients, partners, and collaborators on how AI is used in our work, including where additional transparency, safeguards, or limits may be needed.
Engage in industry discussion: Participate in conversations about the responsible use of AI in education, enablement, certification, workforce development, and enterprise learning. As AI changes how organizations build and deliver education, Echtus will continue advocating for thoughtful, ethical, and human-centered use.
